EHOVE Electrical Tech Tour

Lake Erie Arms hosted the EHOVE Electric Tech (Adult Ed) class led by Program Director Terry Meyers and Instructors Glenn Williams, Nick Elchert, and Curt Stang. Larry Fawcett, Chief Facilities Management Officer for Lake Erie Arms gave students a VIP tour through our 94,000 square foot facility for a glimpse into the workings of a large commercial build.

During the tour, the students were able to witness a large electrical build in various stages of completion. This included a huge isolated electrical room that housed a large switch box, transformers, and many distribution boxes and panels. Additionally, they were shown conduit runs that ran underground and through metal framing, low voltage wiring, networking runs, and plan drawings. These hands-on opportunities allowed the students to gain practical knowledge that complements what they learn in the classroom.

This visit follows EHOVE's Fire Inspection class, led by Training Coordinator Jamie Starcher, which also toured our facility a few weeks ago.
